Location Photography Cornwall

As I sit here writing this blog post on the last day of April it could very well be mid February with how cold and wet it is outside. I question myself “is this the right time to write this blog post, or should I wait for a sunnier

day”

Then I thought, if I wait around in life for the right time to do something; I’d never do anything.

Family portraiture has always been my passion from the moment I fell in love with photography and when I realised that photographs are not just about taking a picture of someone to show them what they look like. It’s about capturing their soul, their personality, bringing them back to that moment in their life.

Family portraits have got that extra layer of capturing intimate moments and pure unquestionable love. It’s the most rewarding feeling in the world to see the joy on my clients faces when they see their family portraits.

Over these last 10 years in business I look back at all the family portraits we have captured and 80% have a child who is under one years old.

I can’t help put feel a little sad. Don’t get me wrong. I’m so incredibly grateful to have had the honor to capture those incredible early years but feel as a professional photographer in Cornwall, are we missing families who would love professional portraits of their family with older children. Is the thought of coming into a studio for staged photos just not their style.

Those of you who follow us on social media will be aware that we very rarely venture outside of the studio walls. It’s time this changed.

Myself and Luke have a daughter called Elsie who is now 4 years old and as you can imagine we have great enjoyment capturing her playful, cheeky personality in our beautiful Cornish habitats. Children certainly have a way of reminding us what’s important.

It gives be great happiness to celebrate our 10 years in business with an amazing opportunity for 10 families to be captured at their chosen location. This could be on the beach with your toes in the water,  or being surrounded by gorgeous woodlands or simply being in your very own back garden.

All you have to do is choose and purchase a frame and we’ll fill it for you with your favourite location family photographs from your session. We will then gift you the rest of the photographers from the session in digital format so you can share them with your friends and family.

What are you waiting for!? I imagine the hardest part will be getting everyone together with work, hobbies and after school club commitments but trust me you will be happy that you did.

I can wait for you to have an up today family portrait on your wall.

Much love

Jo x
