Tell us about your business…what do you do?
I specialise in creating beautiful casts of hands and feet and framing them. I have taken great pleasure in creating many casts over the years from babies of only days old to Grandparents and creating lasting treasured memories. My frames are handmade in solid wood, and are of superior quality. I have numerous options for mounts and finish combinations, so each Babyprint is unique and tailored to be in keeping with your own style and taste.
I am an independent business, but also part of a long established parent company, so I can maintain a consistency of frames and quality both now and in the future.
My clients have returned time and again with babies and siblings. I have enjoyed seeing whole families grow over the years and have been kept busy charting their progress.
What makes your business unique/special?
Customers come to my relaxing studio where they can see sample frame and choose which style they could like their casts framed in. Each appointment takes between 30 mins to an hour depending on quantity of casts and customers decision making abilities.
In what way have you gone above/beyond in the past for a customer?
Last year I was asked by a charity to go up to Barnstaple to carry out a casting for a family, whose youngest has a life limiting health complications. It was a delight to meet them all and make this memory for them.
What are you passionate about outside of your business?
My family, of course. We love walking in the Cornish countryside and costal walks and love finding new places to walk. I’m realising how quickly time goes by with your children, blink and they are talking about going to University and leaving home.
Describe your perfect day?
Time on the beach with the children, enjoying the sea, ending with a BBQ.
What other local business to you love and why?
I don’t think I can pin point a single business, I’m a big believer in shopping local to help all our local businesses and not using the big online shopping companies which will, sadly, close our local shops.
What’s your favourite biscuit!?
Nothing beats shortbread, simple and tasty and great with a cup of tea.
