It’s that time of year again to take advantage of the beautiful place we live; Bluebell Sessions are back and we couldn’t be more excited to start capturing lovely families with stunning bluebell backdrops.
This year we’ve decided to hunt for a new location and its fair to say that it’s been a bit of a challenge, thankfully we’ve finally decided on the perfect spot. We needed somewhere with plenty of parking, not too much of a walk and the most important thing, plenty of beautiful bluebells.
In celebration of this lovely time we’ve put together three of our favourite spots to enjoy vast carpets of bluebells.
3. Enys gardens | www.enysgardens.org.uk
Enys Gardens near Penryn is a vast 30 acre site that’s not only home to one of the most impressive bluebell vistas (Parc Lye) but also a gorgeous location to enjoy a stroll with the family. The house (Enys) is open at the weekends for the upcoming Art Exhibition, you can also visit the history room to discover more about the gardens and the Enys family. The Enys Gardens Blue Bell Festival runs from May 5th - 13th.
2. Godolphin House | www.nationaltrust.org.uk/godolphin
Godolphin House is situated at the bottom of Godolphin Hill not far from Helston; the site is owned by the National Trust so if your planning to visit the Bluebell trail remember your membership card, alternatively you can pay a one time entrance fee. The site is open from 10am till 5pm and is a great place to explore with the little ones. There’s guided walks, a cafe, and if your brave enough the bare foot trail! Explore the the house and the most historic gardens in Europe and don’t forget the Bluebell forest walk available from 25 Apr 2018.

Penrose Estate in Helston is perfect for the adventurous family, managed by the National Trust the estate is a mix of farmland and woodland that skirts the edge of Loe Pool. It’s perfect for exploring on the back of a bicycle and you can also take your pooch. You can make the walk as long or as short as you want but remember to take proper footwear; walking to Porthleven for an ice-cream is one of our favourite things to do. You can see the carpets of bluebells and wild garlic from May onwards.
